The result of this commitment is the Zer0Waste© system, a technological innovation that eliminates waste of time, materials and energy during the preparation phase of printing machines.
HOW DOES THAT WORK
The system is based on a geometric and electronic self-learning algorithm that is constantly active in Expert’s presses: each printing operation is recorded in a large database that allows the machines to predict and compensate for any deviation with the highest precision.
This allows you to drastically reduce errors and improve operational efficiency.
Thanks to this continuous self-adjustment, the system is able to guarantee optimal print quality from the very first moment, without the need for manual intervention.
The goal of the system is to eliminate traditional waste related to the preparation of the machines.
During a working day, the print manager is often forced to repeat preparation operations up to 20 times, which consumes time, materials and chemicals.
This waste is inevitable when production is organized in short runs, but Zer0Waste© radically changes this scenario.
Thanks to AI, Zer0Waste© is able to autonomously adjust registration and printing pressure without any human intervention, drastically reducing downtime and errors.
The system is capable of ensuring perfect images from the very beginning of the printing process, without the operator having to worry about further adjustments.

A COMPANY THAT LISTENS TO THE MARKET
Expert has responded to the growing needs of the flexographic printing market with a new and innovative solution: the Stack model launched in the Czech Republic.
This system has been designed to meet the needs of a niche sector that requires printing on a particular substrate: a non-woven fabric for sound insulation.
This thick material does not allow for the fast cutting that you are normally used to with substrates such as paper or flexible packaging film.
Its mechanical strength is such that only knives rotating in a straight line are able to handle it, and this requires a temporary stop of the belt, creating a challenge to maintain production continuity.
The solution proposed by Expert was to introduce two accumulators, one at the unwinding and the other at the winding, which compensate for the stops during the cutting phase and at the beginning of the new reel.
This allows the system to continue production without reducing speed, even when processing materials that are particularly difficult to handle.
Expert’s technology, which integrates a digital Touch Screen interface, combination of PLC and PC and network connections, allows you to easily integrate the system in the Industry 4.0 ambient, guaranteeing the communication with any MES and ERP.
